About Entamanu Ngorongoro

On the remote north-western rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, Entamanu Ngorongoro is a contemporary camp with an incredible dual outlook. It offers you a rare position with views into the world-famous Crater on one side and out across the Serengeti highlands on the other. The camp’s architecture is thoughtfully designed with timber, glass, and stretched canvas, creating structures that are both comfortable and removable to ensure a light footprint on this precious land.

The main building houses a cozy lounge and bar area, warmed by wood-burning stoves, making it a perfect refuge from the cool highland air. You can enjoy meals in the indoor dining room or on the sheltered viewing decks. A curated wine selection is available to complement your dining. The camp is reached via a private access road after a 4×4 transfer from the Manyara airstrip, which adds to its exclusive and secluded feel. And for a little souvenir or forgotten essential, you’ll find a charming small boutique right there at the camp.

About The Highlands

Positioned on the slopes of the Olmoti volcano, The Highlands is a contemporary, low-impact camp that blends distinctive design with its remote highland setting. The architecture features unique geodesic-inspired canvas-and-timber domes alongside clean-lined communal structures. The camp’s elevated position on a forested ridge offers you expansive outlooks across the highlands.

The main area includes an open lounge and bar warmed by wood-burning stoves, a small library nook, and an indoor dining space. You can also dine on the sheltered deck, perfect for the cooler mountain air. A curated wine selection is available, and outdoor firepits provide wind-protected gathering points. The entire camp is thoughtfully designed with windbreaks and insulation suited for the high altitude. Located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, away from the main crater rims, the camp is accessed by road from the Manyara airstrip, enhancing its secluded feel.

Plantation Lodge Overview

Located just outside of the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area is an owner-run lodge called Plantation Lodge. The lodge itself is conveniently located close to three national parks – the Ngorongoro Crater (where you can descent down for a game drive), Lake Manyara National Park and Tarangire National Park. As such, it works well in a driving itinerary when you combine the northern parks, especially if you then head onto the Serengeti after. The lodge is excellent value for money and offers accommodation to suit all – honeymooners, families, couples or solo travelers. Surrounding the lodge are coffee plantations, a working farm and well-kept gardens and vegetable patches. The food served and made at Plantation Lodge is all home-grown and this is one of the main draws to this lodge over others in the are. The décor of Plantation Lodge is very colonial and as it’s owner-run, it offers an welcoming and intimate atmosphere.

About Lamai Serengeti

Amongst the giant boulders of the Kogakuria Kopje, you’ll find Lamai Serengeti offers you an incredible vantage point over the vast Serengeti plains. In this incredible location, the lodge is cleverly integrated into the rock formations where the architecture uses natural stone, timber, and canvas to create open-sided pavilions that feel completely connected to the surrounding landscape, with decks offering wide Serengeti vistas.

The heart of the camp is the central mess area, where you will find comfortable lounges and a bar. Meals are served in both indoor and al-fresco settings on tiered decks, allowing you to dine while soaking in the scenery. You can cool off in the swimming pool, which has a wonderful outlook over the plains below, or browse the small boutique corner. For quieter moments, a library and map nook provide a space for reflection. The lodge is located near the Mara River, offering access to seasonal crossing points, and is conveniently reached from the Kogatende airstrip. Wi-Fi is available in the primary communal areas.

Namiri Plains Camp Overview

Located in the eastern plains of the Serengeti National Park is the breath-taking camp named Namiri Plains. This camp is recognized in the safari industry because of its location. These grasslands in the eastern part of the park were closed for over 20 years to allow the cheetah population to restore naturally, without human interruption or distraction. Since its opening to the public, Namiri Plains is one of the only camps in this area so a safari here will feel completely private and secluded. Not only that, but the cheetah population has grown enormously and as a result of its success, you will not have a stay in Namiri Plains and not see a cheetah! In fact, the big cat population here is really impressive – lion prides and leopards can also be seen in this area. The camp itself is novel in its design and one of the most luxurious in all of Tanzania – offering private decks, a swimming pool, chandeliers, a library and study, private decks and free-standing baths.

Sayari Camp Overview

Overlooking the game-filled plains, Sayari Camp is situated in the north of the Serengeti National Park in northern Tanzania. Between the months of June and October, the wildebeest migration herds will be up in this area, feeding on green pasture before taking their opportunity to cross the Mara River. The benefit of being in a camp like Sayari is that the guides will know where the herds are every day and will have a greater insight into when they will make that river crossing and at which crossing point. The camp itself was just redesigned and now offers an even more luxurious and contemporary feel to it. Each of the 15 suites have walk-in showers, free-standing outdoor baths, beautiful décor and private verandas. In addition, the main area offers an inviting pool, set between natural rock formations, an Asilia Spa and an innovative solar-powered micro-brewery. This is the first in the bush!

Zuri Zanzibar Overview

Situated in Kendwa in the northern part of Zanzibar Island is Zuri Zanzibar. With white sand beaches and a laid-back atmosphere, Zuri Zanzibar is made up of 56 rooms which are either bungalows, suites or villas. These rooms sit amongst tropical gardens which are contrast against the blue skies. All of the rooms are spacious and feature outdoor showers, private terraces and lounge areas. In terms of design and decor, Zuri Zanzibar is one of our personal favourites. The rooms are full of contemporary, local furniture and artwork. The main areas like the restaurant and the bars have quirky and memorable features like beautiful chandeliers and lighting, offering vast views out to the ocean. Zuri Zanzibar has a wellbeing spa (Maua Wellness by Healing Earth) which offers a wealth of treatments, massages and even features a jacuzzi deck.

The Residence Overview

Renowned for its stunning rooms and expansive grounds, The Residence is a great choice for those looking for five-star luxury on the island of Zanzibar. Although the hotel itself has 66 luxury villas, it doesn’t feel like a huge property because each villas has so much space. Breezes’ Beach Club is part of the Zanzibar Collection on the eastern coast of the island, focusing on affordable couples or family accommodation. As with its sister properties, the hotel is beautifully designed, with fusions of Arabic and Swahili designs in both the rooms and the communal areas. With a swimming pool, tennis court and a dive center on site, there is plenty to do here. The rooms (in which there are three category choices) are housed in two-store buildings and offer either garden or sea views. Here you can either be on a half or full board basis but, with multiple restaurants and bars in the hotel grounds, you will not be disappointed with the choice and quality of food. Among others, these include the Sultans Table, the Breakers Grill, the Safari Bar, and of course, the Tides Restaurant which offers private beachfront dining for two.
