As you’d expect of such a varied and multi-faceted destination, Turkey has a wide variety of attractive accommodation on offer. Istanbul is a huge city offering a fascinating mix of old and new and as such houses the complete array of accommodation choices. The city’s most luxurious hotels are located along the banks of the Bosphorus in the city’s modern Besiktas district – our favorites here being the Swissotel, or legendary Ciragan Palace Kempinski, set within a former Ottoman palace. Moderately priced but no less comfortable options can also be found in the historic Karakoy neighborhood or the European quarter of Beyoglu. 

Accommodation in Cappadocia is as memorable as the fairy caves themselves. Central town Goreme houses numerous ‘cave’ hotels, with your stay literally carved out of the sheer rock face.
