Highlights
The Volcano View Hotel enjoys a tranquil, off-the-beat location along the cliffs, a 5-minute drive from Fira, which can also be reached by the property’s free shuttle. It has a series of cliffside terraces which house three large pools surrounded by lounge chairs, with the pool on the lowest terrace providing access to a bar serving light bites and cocktails. Its architecture reflects Santorini’s traditional style with whitewashed walls, yet the interiors have more of a contemporary flair. The Caldera restaurant has a dining terrace located next to one of the pools, where a complimentary breakfast is served. There’s also a terrace that hangs over the cliff where guests can enjoy massages with a view, including couples’ massages. Rooms are modern with traditional Santorinian architecture and all include terraces with sea views, while luxurious villas have kitchenettes and private pools. Donkey rides, boat tours and ATV rentals can all be arranged through the front desk.
