The Majestic Hotel Malacca Overview
The Majestic is located on the banks of Malacca River which in yesteryear teemed with Chinese junks and spice-laden vessels from all over the world. This is a classic heritage hotel which over the years has formed an integral part of Malacca’s colourful history. At the heart of the property is a restored 1920s Straits Settlement mansion, complete with its original porcelain tile flooring and teakwood fittings. It has been sympathetically extended to house the guest rooms and suites as well as an award-winning spa. Rooms are elegantly appointed, with bespoke vintage furnishings, floor to ceiling windows, timber floors, and four poster beds finished in rich teak. Ornate bathrooms are fitted with both shower and clawfoot tub. Meals are served in the ‘The Mansion’, with a menu showcasing Malacca’s magnificent multi-cultural cuisine; drinks can be taken in the airy lounge or atmospheric bar.
