Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 Kea Island: Transfer from Athens’ Airport or Your Athens Hotel

View of Ioulida village on Kea island in Greece.

Look forward to eight days and seven nights of sailing, with the fun beginning upon your transfer from Athens International Airport or your Athens hotel to Piraeus Port. If you arrive into Athens a couple of days early, you’ll be able to rest up from jet lag and see the iconic sights. Embarkation on your luxurious vessel is between 2 and 3pm. Get settled into your cabin and check out some of the amenities onboard before meeting the captain, crew and your fellow passengers at the welcome party. We’ll dock in the port of Kea where you’ll have leisurely time to explore and dine.

Day 2 Mykonos: Tour of Ancient Delos

Day trip to Delos

While our ultimate destination is Mykonos, before we arrive you can join us for an optional tour of UNESCO-listed Delos, an uninhabited island said to be the birthplace of Apollo. This sacred place is home to some of the most extensive ruins dating all the way back to the 6th-century BC. You’ll see impressive ruins of temples, a theater, and more. After exploring we’ll continue to nearby Mykonos, stopping along the way so you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the clear sapphire waters of the Aegean. Upon arrival, take advantage of the island attractions, perhaps indulging in some upscale shopping and fine dining.

Day 3 Santorini: Discover One of the World’s Favourite Islands

Santorini

As we sail to your next island, Santorini, enjoy your morning coffee while surrounded by the breath-taking Aegean scenery. Santorini is one of the most popular of all the Greek Islands, famous for its volcanic landscape, creative by massive volcanic eruptions. Upon our arrival, you’ll have time to explore its highlights, including the capital of Fira, the stunning caldera and the postcard-perfect village of Oia. Here, blue-domed churches and whitewashed homes cling to the rugged cliffs where some of the world’s best sunsets can be enjoyed. You can also choose to take an optional tour of archaeological sites and charming traditional villages.

Day 4 Crete: Optional Tour of Knossos from Rethymno

Knossos Palace, Crete

Next, we cruise toward the north coast of Crete, anchoring at Rethymno. You’ll see the pretty Venetian harbour filled with traditional fishing boats as we sail in. Upon our arrival you can opt to join an excursion to the Palace of Knossos, Europe’s oldest city, settled some 5,000 years ago. It offers a fascinating glimpse of life centuries ago, with the remarkable complex revealing just how advanced the Minoans were, along with timeless beauty that includes grand columns and gorgeous frescoes. Visit the archaeological museum afterwards which showcases many interesting artifacts. After transferring back to the ship, we’ll depart late for Kythira.

Day 5 Kythira: A Nature Lover’s Dream

Kithera, Greece

You’ll have more time out on the sea as we continue toward Kythira, stopping for a swim along the way. After anchoring on this remote and unspoiled island, you’ll have time to discover its spectacular nature that includes secluded gorgeous, breath-taking waterfalls and idyllic sandy beaches. This evening we recommend taking a walk through the ancient settlement of Chora, overlooked by a 13th-century Venetian castle/fort. From these impeccably preserved ruins, you’ll take in a stunning view. Afterward wander through the narrow alleyways and streets, exploring the shops and then sitting down to dine at one of the many delicious waterfront eateries.

Day 6 Nafplion: Stop in Monemvasia Explore Old Town Nafplion

Archaeological Museum of Monemvasia

Our cruise continues as we head toward Nafplion, but you’ll enjoy a stop in the medieval fortified town of Monemvasia. It was carved right into the side of a huge rock rising out of the sea and features well-preserved Byzantine and Venetian buildings. Bring your camera to take advantage of the many photo-ops before we set sail again. Before anchoring at the seaport town of Nafplion, we’ll stop so that you can enjoy a refreshing swim. Upon our arrival, once on land it will feel as if you’ve stepped into medieval times, walking Old Town with its impressive fortifications and distinctive architecture, then feed your appetite with an authentic meal at one of the family-run eateries popular with the locals.

Day 7 Athens: Optional Mycenae Excursion

Mycenae

We’ll head back to Athens on our last full day of the cruise but this morning you’ll have the option to take an excursion to Mycenae. Located in the north-eastern Peloponnese, it contains the ruins of two of the Mycenaean civilization’s most significant historic sites. From the walled palace, you’ll enjoy endless views all the way to the Saronic Gulf. There will be a stop made on either Spetses or Hydra before we return to Marina Zeas. Here you can enjoy exploring at your leisure, relaxing in a secluded cove or sunbathing on the beach before returning to the ship.

Day 8 Disembarkation

Athens. Greece

You may want to rise early to be sure your bags are packed and ready as your cruise through the best of Greece comes to an end this morning. You’ll have time for breakfast, along with farewells to the crew and your fellow passengers, many of whom are now new friends. We hope you’ll join us for another memorable cruise in the future, with fabulous options throughout the Mediterranean and well beyond.
