Tafika Camp Overview

As the flagship camp of the portfolio, Tafika Camp truly does stand for everything that Remote Africa is trying to achieve. The camp sits north of the Nsefu Sector of the South Luangwa National Park. This area is great for big cat populations – wild dogs and lion prides in particular. This area is also much quieter than the Mfuwe area, so game viewing can feel entirely exclusive – as if you have the whole national park to yourself. With six chalets, Tafika Camp is the perfect place to enjoy the serenity of the bush, as well as feel in the midst of the exhilarating safari experience. The chalets are made from a local material called makuti, and each have open-air bathrooms and a veranda. Activities here include day and night game drives (in open-sided vehicles), mountain bike safaris, bush walks, and local visits to communities and schools. The camp also has its own photographic hide. Spend the afternoon here, watching herds of elephant, antelope, and a beautiful collection of bird species come down to drink from the waterhole.
