Sukau Rainforest Lodge Overview
Nestled along the banks of the Kinabatangan River, the Sukau Rainforest Lodge is a prime spot for wildlife watching. The river is the longest in Sabah and it draws many of Borneo’s endangered animals like Bornean pygmy elephants, Proboscis monkeys, and orangutans. They often gather here during the morning and evening hours providing easy viewing. The lodge itself has a focus on eco-friendly, sustainable operations and practices with its 20 rooms featuring solar-powered ceiling fans, en-suite bathrooms, and mosquito netting. There’s an open-air dining area, a lounge area with comfy sofas for relaxing, and a library, while the hanging garden faces every room.
