South Africa Travel Guides

South Africa is a large country, the 24th biggest country in the world to be precise. There are land borders with Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique and 2798 km of coastline, at the tip of South Africa the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. South Africa is the economic hub of Southern Africa and communities are living here from all over Africa, drawn by the jobs and cities. You will find Congolese, Malawians, Zimbabweans, and many other nationalities as you travel around the country. Due to its colonial history, there are also large numbers of people of European and Indian descent living in the country who can trace their linage back hundreds of years. There are also at least 12 indigenous tribes who have lived in the country for generations. South Africa has at least 35 indigenous languages, 10 of these are official languages. This creates a melting pot of different cultures, food, traditions, and customs, South Africa is truly a ‘Rainbow Nation’.
