Safari Plains Overview

Safari Plains is set against the backdrop of the magnificent Waterberg Mountains in the Limpopo Province on the Mabula Game Reserve in South Africa. The reserve is malaria free and is easily accessible, only a two hour drive from Johannesburg.

The luxury safari style tents with private timber wrap around deck with views over the reserve and a waterhole. All tented suites are perfectly appointed with sunken baths, separate showers and toilets as well as air conditioning. The family tents have a second bedroom with twin beds.

Morning and afternoon game drives are in 4 x 4 vehicle safaris exploring the one hundred and twenty square kilometres of big five private game reserve. A wide array of activities are available such as hot air balloon safaris, horseback safaris, quad biking adventures and guided bush walks.

This lodge is family friendly but also suitable for adults. Children are very welcome and the staff will go out of their way to accommodate their needs. The camp is fenced and therefore suitable for small children and the chef will do a separate children’s menu. There is no specific children’s program available but children under the age of 6 will go on a shorter children’s game drive
