Relais Il Falconiere & Spa Overview
The former residence of a poet, Il Falconiere was converted into a spectacular hotel that sits above the town of Cortona, boasting views across the picturesque Tuscan landscape with grapevines and olive trees. It dates back to the 17th-century, but it’s been beautifully restored to preserve the wooden beams, thick stone walls, and original fireplaces. It offers modern amenities too, including two pools and a gorgeous conservatory where one can enjoy views of Cortona and the valley below. With just 19 rooms, expect an intimate stay with exceptional personalized service. Each one is individually decorated with details like antique furniture and original frescoes on the walls, while some include four-poster beds. There’s a chic spa with treatments featuring local products from Florence’s Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella and dining is a special treat with an on-site Michelin-star restaurant with dishes featuring many ingredients produced on the property’s own farm.
