Set upon the site of a famously tragic 14th-century love story between Prince Pedro and Inês de Castro, Quinta das Lágrimas has a romantic air and an outstanding choice of accommodation, including a spectacular 18th-century palace, the modern Spa building with rooms that include tubs with hydromassage jets, or the Garden residence. The Superior Rooms in the palace are the most opulent, with furnishings like silk canopy beds. All come with flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, minibars, slippers, and complimentary toiletries.
