Pikaia Lodge Overview
Set atop volcanic craters overlooking the Pacific, Pikaia Lodge is a carbon neutral eco-lodge with eco-travel at the heart of everything they do. It includes solar and wind generators, an underground rainwater tank, and furniture made with recycled materials. The only lodge that has its own motor yacht, the 105-foot vessel provides total comfort for excursions – guests even have their own private rooms on board for showering and resting. On the property there’s wellness center with a spa and gym that has state-of-the-art equipment, along with scenic paths winding through endemic forests for encounters with wild giant tortoises, enjoyed with a soundtrack of exotic birds. There’s an impressive library and lounge with a large 3D HDTV with a selection of DVDs and 3D goggles, while the on-site restaurant serves tasting cuisine enjoyed with views over Galapagos National Park. Rooms boast floor-to-ceiling windows, flat-screen TVs, DVD players, minibars, and balconies or terraces.
