Day by Day Itinerary

  • DAY 1

    Reykjavik: Arrival into Keflavik Airport

    D1 Iceland Reykjavik 1

After landing at Keflavik International Airport, your driver/guide will welcome you and accompany you throughout your journey. You’ll be delivered to your Reykjavik hotel where you’ll enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Don’t miss Hallgrimskirkja Church which stand out on the city’s skyline atop Skolavorduhaed Hill. You can ride the elevator to the top for a panoramic vista of the multi-coloured rooftops and surrounding mountains. Wander through the compact downtown, with lots of colourful street art, shops, galleries and cafes to enjoy. This evening, head to the waterfront away from light pollution to see if you can spot the northern lights.

  • DAY 2

    Hvolsvöllur: Golden Circle Tour

    D2 Gullfoss Iceland

Join your private guide for a tour of the Golden Circle which features some of Iceland’s top attractions. Visit Thingvellir National Park to step between the North American and Eurasian continents, visit Law Rock where meetings to discuss law and other issues took place for over 850 years and check out Gullfoss Falls, a massive waterfall that’s been compared to Niagara Falls, Nearby is the Geysir area, with its many geothermal features, including Strokkur geyser which erupts, shooting water and steam 100 feet into the sky every 5 to 10 minutes. From there, you’ll journey to your remote overnight destination on Iceland’s southern coast.

  • DAY 3

    Reykjavik: South Coast Tour

    Untitled design 93 4

Your tour of the South Coast includes a number of spectacular waterfalls, including two of Iceland’s most famous, Seljalandsfoss falls, which plummets nearly 200 feet into a pool below. Walk the hidden path that leads behind for a unique view through the cascades. Nearby is Skogafoss, one of Iceland’s largest, 80-feet-wide and dropping nearly 60 feet with a more than 80-foot width. It makes a thundering sound and creates a rainbow-yielding mist. Before making the return to Reykjavik for the night, you’ll get to stroll across the black sands of Reynisfjara beach, with unique basalt sea stacks rising from the sea just offshore.

  • DAY 4

    Departure

    Untitled design 94 4

This short but incredibly sweet tour comes to an end today. Depending on the time of your scheduled flight, you may be able to enjoy exploring more of the capital city, or perhaps a soak in the legendary Blue Lagoon, which is just 20 minutes from the airport, easy to reach along the way. Otherwise, your private driver will bring you back to Keflavik Airport so that you can continue your travels or make the return journey home. With some luck you may even have photos of the aurora borealis to take with you.
