Unique Dining Experiences in Africa
When it comes to an Africa safari, the wildlife is second-to-none. There is nowhere else on Earth you can experience the sound of a hyena laugh, the vibration of a lion roar, or the smell of the morning dew which blankets the vast savannah. Africa is magical, and its animals are worth fighting for – day and night, for years to come.
For those who have never been on a luxury African safari though, there is so much that heightens the experience. Mornings are spent with a warm cup of coffee, listening to the birdcall echoing across the plains. Catching the last rays of evening sunshine, sundowner drinks are shared with fellow safari travellers from across the globe. As well as laughter and wholesome conversations shared around fire pits, the food experiences across Africa are what brings people together, and creates moments to never forget.
While all safari camps offer sundowner experiences, we have put together a collection of some of the most unique dining experiences across Africa, including luxury safari camps in South Africa, Kenya, Botswana and Tanzania.

But with no dividing gates or fences, the private reserves that border the Kruger National Park offer a heightened, and more exclusive safari experience as the animals move freely between the Kruger and the private reserves freely. These private reserves like Sabi Sands, offer exceptional wildlife and guiding without the crowds and, with the activities like off-road driving and night game drives offered, they add an entirely new dimension of excitement to your safari.
There are a handful of exceptional safari lodges in the Sabi Sands Private Reserve, but when it comes to unique experiences, there is one that truly stands out. Chitwa Chitwa is a safari lodge that has encapsulated the beauty of the bush with its elegant and luxurious décor. Each of the eight suites have been designed with the utmost creativity and attention to detail, so that your transition from game drive to game lodge is a smooth and natural one. Whether you are having an afternoon nap on your private veranda, or going for a dip in the plunge pool, you will still be surrounded by the sounds, sights and smells of the bush.
