Travel Experiences

In issue 2, we not only talk about destinations, but also ways to travel. In recent years, river cruises have become one of the hottest travel trends, eliminating all the time and effort it takes to plan a well thought out itinerary, while allowing you to enjoy a different view out your window every day. It’s one of the best ways to explore multiple destinations in Europe without having to hop on and off trains, get behind the wheel, or constantly pack and unpack. Along with slow travel, we give you an insight into river cruising – the accommodation, the service, the destinations, the food, and much more.

Conservation & Sustainability Efforts

Although it’s been a bit of a roller-coaster year for the travel industry, there have been some incredible projects and campaigns happening. In this issue, we interview renowned travel photographer Pie Aerts – who ran a project called Prints for Wildlife in the summer of 2020. This month-long fundraiser saw 125 professional photographers donating one of their wildlife photographs. These prints were sold on a global scale, and 100% of the profits was donated to African Parks who manage and protect 19 national parks across 11 countries in Africa. The project was hugely successful, raising $660,000 and helped enormously with the conservation and wildlife issues that African Parks were facing on a daily basis.
