Legendary Lodge Overview

Legendary Lodge is a small and homely lodge on the western outskirts of Arusha in northern Tanzania. For those starting or ending their safari from Kilimanjaro International Airport, this is the perfect lodge to base yourself at because of accessibility (15-minute drive from Arusha and 90 minutes from Kilimanjaro), as well as the comfort, peace and tranquillity that Legendary offers. The lodge sits at the foot of Mount Meru, which stands at an impressive 4,566 meters above sea level. The lodge is, like much of Arusha, surrounded by coffee plantations and tropical gardens, which is a lovely setting to spend your first night in Tanzania. Legendary Lodge has 12 cottages in total and is very accommodating for families as there are family units, childminding services and plenty of activities to get involved with. For those who have traveled a long way to get to Tanzania, we would recommend at least two nights here to relax after your flight, enjoy the activities (cycling, garden lunches, coffee tours, plantation visits, spa treatments and many more) before your thrilling safari begins.
