Linthwaite House Overview
The Linthwaite is a luxury boutique hotel set atop a hill overlooking Bowness-on-Windermere and Lake Windermere in the Lake District and surrounded by 14 acres of beautiful gardens. The village can easily be reached on foot while many attractions are within a short drive, including Grizedale Forest and Beatrix Potter’s house. Right on-site there’s a private lake with rowboats. Walking routes are available along with boules pitches and croquet too. Afternoon tea can be enjoyed in the conservator while Henrock, the on-site restaurant, offers “informally elegant” dining with a menu of sharing and small plates like venison carpaccio and poached cod that can be enjoyed with an excellent list of wines and a sommelier to help guide you. All rooms include free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Some have separate living rooms, hot tubs, private verandas, and lake views. After a day of activities, guests can take advantage of in-room spa treatments.
