As part of the &Beyond portfolio, Kirkman’s Kamp offers a classic safari experience in the heart of the world-famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Compared to other lodges inside the game reserve, Kirkman’s Kamp has remained traditional in its safari décor. It is a reflection and characterizes the classic colonial style and ‘old-world’ atmosphere. Its main area has characteristics of traditional Dutch architecture, with large fireplaces and chunky dark furniture. There are lots of lounge areas to sit and enjoy an evening drink or flick through a beautiful coffee table book. There are 12 guest rooms at Kirkman’s Kamp, all of which are designed colonial in style, featuring a simple en-suite bathroom and shower. While the rooms are not the most private, they are very comfortable and provide air-conditioning, as well as a minibar and a tea and coffee station. The game viewing here in the southern sector of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve is unparalleled, with elephant, rhino, lion, and leopard sightings seen regularly.
