About Hotel La Villa Battambang
Set within a 1930s villa overlooking the Sangker River looking across to Battambang’s colonial downtown, La Villa itself offers lots of colonial charm and comes with an interesting history as a former family residence and the general quarters for the Vietnamese army. Today, the boutique hotel provides a haven of tranquility with just seven rooms, all with beautiful décor, art deco furniture, antique four-poster beds and original tiled floors. Rooms on the higher floors are the most spacious – all are air-conditioned and include mosquito nets, minibars, flat-screen TVs with DVD players and a wide selection of DVDs available to rent, tea and coffeemakers, and en-suite bathrooms, some with free-standing tubs. The property includes a lovely saltwater pool with loungers in the gardens, an area for massage, and laundry facilities. A glass-roofed restaurant serves both Asian and European cuisine, while the bar serves a good selection of wines, spirits and cocktails.
