Hotel Interlaken Overview
The oldest hotel in Interlaken, the Hotel Interlaken dates back to the 14th century with an impressive guest list that’s included Lord Byron. Ideally situated just a 5-minute walk from the Interlaken Ost train station, the historic hotel offers modern amenities and warm hospitality, with a lounge that’s ideal for unwinding with a refreshing drink where parts of the original medieval walls are still visible.
The Taverne restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere for the sumptuous buffet breakfast that includes hot and cold items like regional cheeses and cold cuts, fresh fruit, bacon, scrambled eggs, and pancakes. A la carte dinners can be enjoyed here as well and include classic Swiss cheese fondue along with a wide range of vegan, vegetarian, meat, and fish dishes. The comfortable rooms all include flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, coffeemakers and tea-making facilities, and minibars. Family rooms sleeping up to four guests are available with bunkbeds ideal for the kids.
