Located where the South China Sea and the Malacca Straits meet at the base of the Malay Peninsula, Singapore offers one of the glitziest honeymoon destinations as a dynamic and wealthy city-state. It’s a melting pot of cultures, including Arab, Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Western cultures, while welcoming visitors who will be in awe of the towering skyscrapers, world-class shopping, and buzzing nightlife. The nickname “Garden City” reveals the many green spaces and parks that provide a serene oasis in the middle of it all.

Singapore offers many memorable activities for couples to enjoy on their honeymoon. You might join a river cruise to see notable landmarks like Clarke Quay and Marina Bay. Or book a chartered boat excursion that’s personalized just for you and your new spouse. There are beaches for swimming and sunbathing like the beautiful Sentosa too. Then toss in romantic strolls through colorful Gardens by the Bay, warm evenings admiring the Marina Bay skyline, romantic dinners in Michelin-star restaurants, late nights in swanky clubs, luxurious accommodations, and the chance to renew your love at Yueh Hai Ching Temple, the “Temple of Love.” Singapore offers the perfect ingredients for kicking off your lifelong love affair.

When to Visit Singapore

Singapore is unique in that there really isn’t a season better for your visit although certain holidays and events can increase prices and the crowds. The weather is consistently hot and humid, with average high temperatures in the upper 80s Fahrenheit. While there isn’t a definable high and low season, crowds peak around the Christmas holidays due to the many winter travelers, and again in June and July, coinciding with the Great Singapore Sale. This is also when clearing fires produce smoke that can cause eye and throat irritation, so you might want to consider visiting between August and October, or mid-January through May.
