Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 Hamburg: Arrival into Hamburg Germany

After arriving into Hamburg Airport, your private driver will transfer you to your accommodation in the city. Take time to get settled in, relax and refresh, then perhaps do a bit of exploring. This port city is home to one of Europe’s largest harbours, with many canals and waterways that have led to its nickname, the “Venice of the North.” One of the most picturesque cities in Germany, during the warmer months, enjoy dining on one of the many outdoor terraces. If you have the energy, you can also take advantage of its lively nightlife – “Reeperbahn” is the hub of it all.
Day 2 Hamburg: Sightseeing Tour

Today you’ll get to explore Hamburg on a guided tour, taking in a spectacular view over Binnenalster Lake and enjoy a stroll along the city’s longest shopping mile, the “Moenckebergstrasse.” The city boasts an electric mix of historic and modern architecture, built on the rich tradition of sailors. Marvel at Hamburg’s oldest main church and the Renaissance Revival-style town hall, along with the Alsterhaus, the city’s massive department store. Your tour also includes a one-hour scenic harbour cruise along the waterways that wind through the UNESCO-listed Speicherstadt with its red-brick warehouses, providing views of cargo terminals, locks and bridges as well.
Day 3 Berlin: Half-Day City Tour

Private transfer brings you to the train station this morning to catch your train to Berlin. Upon your arrival, private transfer will deliver you to your hotel in Germany’s capital. Get settled in and then join a four-hour tour led by an experienced local guide. You’ll visit sights focused on the city’s past, present and future, including the Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag, the former prominent border crossing place between East and Wester Berlin known as Checkpoint Charlie, a stretch of the Berlin Wall that now serves as an open-air gallery, and Charlottenburg Palace, learning about each landmark from your knowledgeable guide along the way.
Day 4 Berlin: Off-the-Beaten-Path Tour

This morning your private driver/guide will meet you at your hotel to bring you on an off-the-beaten-path tour of Berlin. This unique excursion focuses on places most tourists never see, including ethnic areas and counterculture neighbour. Visit up-and-coming spots like the Hackesche Hoefe, Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, home to a thriving Turkish community, exploring an eclectic blend of urban farms, organic markets, and alternative art galleries. Learn about the Love Parade, discover the mouthwatering flavours of the outstanding culinary scene and the counterculture movements that have existed through Berlin’s history, concluding at Yaam Beach to gain an appreciation for the diverse artistic and ethnic communities.
Day 5 Nuremberg: Historic Beer Cellar Tour

Continue to your next destination, Nuremberg, starting with private transfer to the train station in Berlin. A 3.5-hour journey brings you to Bavaria’s second largest city where you’ll embark on a fascinating tour for a unique perspective of its history. Follow your guide to the underground, below Nuremberg’s streets, to discover its historic beer cellars, which date back to at least 1380. Many residents used them as shelter during World War II air raids. Visit a whiskey distillery and a craft brewery that still uses part of labyrinth-like cellar system. A tasting of local specialties in the brewery tavern is included.
Day 6 Nuremberg: Private History Tour

Your private driver/guide will pick you up at your accommodation for a private history tour, starting at the Nazi Party Rally Grounds. This is where Hitler hosted a number of assemblies in the 1930s to inspire his followers, glorifying Nazism. It includes the World War II Documentation Center which displays a permanent exhibit known as “Fascination and Terror,” focusing on the causes and consequences of the Nazi Party. From there, take a stroll through Nuremberg to visit highlights like the historic center, Johannis Cemetery, the Palace of Justice where the Nuremberg trials were held and Nuremberg Castle, a group of medieval fortified buildings.
Day 7 Nuremberg: Rothenburg Day Trip

A day trip with your private driver will bring you to the spectacular medieval city of Rothenburg, a storybook town that inspired Walt Disney to create Pinocchio and was used for scenes in1968’s “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,” just an hour from Nuremberg along Germany’s Romantic Road. Once there, a local guide will bring you on a private walking tour of the historic buildings in this incredible well-preserved wall city that seems as if it exists in a time capsule. go inside St. James, the main church, to see its gorgeous altars, one of which was made by Germany’s most well-known woodcarver, T. Riemenschneider.
Day 8 Munich: Private Insider Tour

Say farewell to Nuremberg, taking private transfer to the train station for the 90-minute journey to Munich. Upon your arrival, your private driver/guide will bring you to your hotel. From there, experience the city like a local with a private guided tour of the major sights, including historic churches, palaces and beer halls. Stop at butcher shops, bakeries and a market, selecting from the local foods to create a traditional Brotzeit plate, stroll through the famous English Garden, one of the world’s largest urban parks, and then relax with a beer and your Bavarian plate at a beer garden, watching the local life.
Day 9 Munich: Neuschwanstein Castle and the Bavarian Alps

An exciting day trip to Neuschwanstein Castle in the Bavarian Alps is on the agenda today. “Sleeping Beauty” castle, the inspiration for the castle at Disneyland, sits atop a towering rugged cliff overlooking Hohenschwangau Valley and the medieval village of Fussen. From the Marienbruecke (Queen Mary’s Bridge), take in a view of the castle, lakes, and valleys from above. From there, take a walk through Oberammergau village, known for its woodcarving craft and then journey to Germany’s highest mountain via cogwheel train and cable car, enjoying magnificent views of the endless peaks of the Alps on the ascent and descent.
Day 10 Departure

Your 10-nights journey through Germany comes to an end this morning. It’s time to get your bags packed and ready, with your private driver transferring you to Munich International Airport where you’ll catch your return flight home or continue your travels elsewhere. If you’d like to keep your adventure going but haven’t made plans, our travel experts will be happy to help.
