Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 Split: Private Sightseeing Tour + Boat Excursion to Trogir

Your immersive holiday in Croatia and Montenegro begins in Split with private transfer from the airport to your hotel. After getting settled in, join your guide for a private tour through the historic center, including Diocletian’s Palace, built in the 4th-century as the palatial retirement residence for Emperor Diocletian. Stroll the cobbled streets and alleyways filled with medieval architecture, discovering the four palace gates and landmarks like St. Domnius Cathedral. You can even climb to the top of the bell tower for a panoramic view of the city and beyond. This evening, enjoy a boat excursion to nearby Trogir, an open-air museum.

Day 2 Split: Day Trip to Krka National Park and Sibenik

After getting a glimpse of Split’s impressive history you’ll discover some of the area’s most stunning natural wonders in Krka National Park with its magnificent waterfalls and tranquil pools. Take a trek along the winding pathways that cross wooden bridges, bringing beautiful views of the lush greenery along Krka River. Marvel at spectacular Skradinski Buk waterfall, the longest on the river, and take a dip beneath Roski Slap. You can enjoy an optional lunch in a traditional konoba before heading to ancient Sibenik, founded over a thousand years ago. It’s home to one of Croatia’s most important Renaissance monuments, the Sibenik Cathedral.

Day 3 Split: Medjugorge and Mostar Day Trip

Today you’ll cross the border, travel to Medjugorje in Bosnia. One of the largest pilgrimage sites in Europe after the Virgin Mary was said to have appeared on Apparition Hill, you’ll see the “Queen of Peace” statue that marks the site of the first apparition. Afterwards, head to Mostar to see its famous symbol, the Old Bridge of Mostar and biscevica House, a traditional Ottoman house and harem. Stops will also be made in the 15th-century village of Pocitelj and at Kravice waterfalls where you can relax, enjoy a picnic and a swim before making the return to Split this evening.

Day 4 Hvar: Private Guided Tour of Hvar Town

Travelling by boat to Hvar Island, renowned for its cosmopolitan atmosphere with fine dining restaurants and a buzzing nightlife that attracts international jetsetters and celebrities, you’ll join your local guide for a private tour of the impressive historic center. You’ll visit a number of landmarks while learning about them from your expert guide, including the first communal theater built in Europe and St. Stephen’s square which faces the sea, while the eastern side is surrounded by the early 17th-century St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Enjoy gourmet cuisine in a local eatery this evening followed by a hike to Fortica Fortress for a jaw-dropping view.

Day 5 Hvar: Private Island Tour

Today’s tour will bring you to discover Hvar’s remote areas, including the abandoned villages of Velo Grablje and Malo, deserted by residents for seaside Milna. You’ll stop at a farm restaurant for a meal with a beautiful sea view before enjoying more breathtaking vistas from St. Nicholas’s peak where you can gaze out at the islands of Vis, Brac and Korcula. Afterwards, admire the UNESCO-protected Stari Grad Plain in Stari Grad – founded in 384 BC, it’s the oldest town in Croatia. Travel to the eco-village of Humac from there for lunch and then enjoy time for relaxing on beautiful Vrboska’s Soline beach.

Day 6 Korčula: Private tour of ‘Mini Dubrovnik’

Saying farewell to Hvar, cruise over to Korcula, the alleged birthplace of international explorer Marco Polo with its Old Town often referred to as a mini-Dubrovnik, complete with medieval walls, ramparts, and towers. You’ll meet your local guide near the gate for a tour to explore the cobbled streets that are laid out in a fishbone shape to keep homes warmer in winter and cooler in the summer. Listen to the history behind it as you marvel at the magnificent architecture and enjoy a stroll on the promenade that follows the outer walls, bringing picturesque views of the sea and vineyards on Pelješac Peninsula.

Day 7 Korčula: Day of Leisure + Optional Wine & Oyster Tasting Tour

You’ll have a full day to explore Korcula on your own, visiting historic landmarks and attractions more in-depth, or joining an optional tour. You have a couple of options, including a wine and oyster tour through the island or on the Peljesac Penninsula, Croatia’s primary wine region. Either provide the country’s authentic flavors, complete with some of the world’s best oysters and locally produced red and white wines. Your other option is a boat trip to Badija, a neighbouring uninhabited island where you can enjoy sunbathing on one of the beautiful beaches in between refreshing swims in crystal-clear turquoise water.

Day 8 Dubrovnik: Discover the Old City

This morning cruise over to Dubrovnik to spend your final three nights. The “Pearl of the Adriatic,” its historic center is one of the most breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Sites, internationally famous after being featured in the hit series “Game of Thrones.” Take a stroll along the marble paved streets, including the Stradun, the Old Town’s longest and widest, to gaze up at the opulent palaces, elegant churches, numerous medieval landmarks, and the ancient defensive walls. If you’d like, you can even walk atop them for a jaw-dropping view of the red-tiled roofs on one side and the sea on the other.

Day 9 Dubrovnik: Day Trip to Montenegro

It’s time to visit the third country of this magical trip, travelling to Croatia’s eastern neighbour, Montenegro. You’ll visit UNESCO-listed Kotor City, built over the 12th and 14th centuries, encircled by medieval stone walls extending over two miles to the fortress of St. Ivan. From here, take a quick boat road to Perast, a medieval town where you can visit the unusual Our Lady of the Rocks Church which was made from local rock and sunken ships, set atop a tiny islet. Once back in Dubrovnik, ride the cable car to the top of Mount Srd to watch a magnificent sunset over the Adriatic.

Day 10 Dubrovnik: Day of Leisure

You’ll have the day to yourself, whether you want to relax and do some last-minute shopping or embark on more adventures. You might take a cruise to sail around the Elaphiti Islands or join a kayak or boat tour to visit nearby Lokrum Island, a nature reserve. It’s filled with wildlife, including peacocks, along with tranquil beaches for sunbathing and swimming in sparkling azure waters. Visitors can also explore the ruins of a 12th-century monastery. Whatever you choose to do during the day, we recommend enjoying a celebratory dinner in the Old City to reminisce over your recently made memories.

Day 11 Departure

All good things must come to an end, and after 10 unforgettable nights in Croatia and beyond, you’ll enjoy one last breakfast in the “Pearl” before checking out of your hotel. Your private driver will meet you for the transfer to Dubrovnik Airport so you can catch your return flight home or head out on further travels elsewhere.
