The Gate Hotel sits on the upper floors of the Hulic Square building in the Taito district, directly opposite to the dramatic Thunder Gate entrance of the city’s oldest temple, Senso-ji. It’s just a two-minute walk to the Asakusa Station, offering a boutique-style feel with contemporary rooms that are spacious by Tokyo standards. All feature large windows for abundant natural light, some with picturesque views. They each come with flat-screen TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi, air purifiers, electric kettles, mini-fridges, robes and personal bath products. Upgraded options, including the King Rooms and Suites, have Nespresso machines. Dining options include a 24/7 French bistro-style eatery and bar. Breakfast is available for an additional fee and includes made-to-order dishes along with a hot and cold buffet. From the open-air terrace and adjacent bar, scenic views of the Tokyo Skytree and the city skyline can be enjoyed. While there isn’t a spa on-site, in-room massage service is available.
