A stunning luxury lodge in remote Patagonia, Explora El Chalten is just north of El Chalten, which sits against the soaring peaks of Monte Fitz Roy at over 11,000 feet as the highest spire in Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. The hiking capital of the region, guests will have access to a myriad of trails for exploring lakes, forests, waterfalls, pristine glaciers, and the second largest contiguous polar icefield with an area of nearly 4,800 square miles. The lodge offers guided explorations in small groups and includes a fabulous spa for relaxing after a day of intense exploration, complete with saunas, hot tubs, and opportunities for massage. The on-site restaurant focuses on healthy but hearty dishes for fueling exploits with a menu featuring Argentinean Patagonia flavors. There’s a bar that serves a variety of local spirits enjoyed in a casual, cozy space, while rooms offer breathtaking views of the mountains and Marconi Glacier.
