As we enjoy Spring here in the UK, things are brightening up. Vaccines are being rolled out, the weather is warming up, and there is a noticeable amount of optimism in the air. Although the travel industry has been hit dramatically this past year, we have adapted, and will continue to overcome any further challenges we face.

The same can be said for other industries like hospitality, aviation and the car industry. Travel is incorporated into everyone’s lives – no matter what background and industry you work in. In this issue, we aim to bring industries together, unite as one, and show how we have all adapted.

Frank Stephenson is a luxury car designer who has made a name for himself working with brands like McLaren, BMW and Ferrari. I interviewed Frank (page 7) to talk about his iconic car designs, and to find out how travel and nature has influenced his designs. He has had to adapt his design methods and has spent the past year designing luxury motors Virtual Reality (VR), all from the comfort of his home.

Earlier in the year, we asked our clients – over 32,000 of them – to complete a short survey about their travel plans for 2021 and beyond. After a year of sitting within the same four walls, we wanted to find out where everyone is dreaming of travelling to? When is everyone planning to travel? And most importantly, what is the inspiration for their travel going forward?

The top destinations included Italy, Greece and Croatia, with South Africa, the Maldives, and Portugal also making the top ten. The inspiration behind people booking their next trip was interesting. A large number of people are starting to book their bucket list trips.

Over the last month alone, we have booked gorilla treks in Uganda, a romantic honeymoon to Jordan’s Petra City, a multi-generational Tanzania safari, and a luxury cruise through the Indian Ocean. Some people know what they want to do for their bucket list, others need inspiration. While each issue of our Unforgettable Travel Magazine provides expert inspired stories and exciting destination features, we have realised that we need to give more inspiration for bucket list experiences.

We have spent the past few months gathering over 500 of the most unique and iconic bucket list experiences, which are available to browse on our website. By theme or country, you can go browse the experiences and add them to your wish list. Furthermore, we are putting together an Unforgettable Experience Book which will be available early Summer 2021.
