Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 Dubrovnik Arrival
Start this magical cruise from Dubrovnik Airport where you’ll be met by your driver for a private transfer to the ship in Gruz Harbour. If you prefer arriving early, a transfer can be arranged from your Dubrovnik hotel. Check-in is available from 1 pm on, and after getting settled into your cabin with your bags stowed, join our local guide for a tour of the walled Old City. Stroll the limestone-paved streets to marvel at iconic historic landmarks like Rector’s Palace before returning to the ship for the Welcome Dinner. It includes introductions to the captain, crew, and your fellow passengers, along with a three-course dinner.
- Excursions Included: Guided tour of Dubrovnik
- Meals Included: Welcome Dinner with Cocktail
Day 2 Slano/Ston
Our ship departs Gruz Harbour, traveling to the traditional fishing village of Slano which sits at the entrance to Ston, another walled village famous for its cultivation of shellfish. You’ll have time to marvel at the ramparts before taking a short walk to an oyster farm where you’ll enjoy an oyster tasting, sampling the delicacies fresh from the sea. Many feel they’re some of the most flavorful in the world, due at least in part to the high concentration of salt and other minerals in the bay. As you sample them with some Croatian wine, you’ll learn more about how they’re harvested too. Afterward, join us for the Captain’s Dinner with live entertainment.
- Excursions Included: Oyster farm visit and tasting experience in Ston
- Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Captain’s Dinner with live entertainment
Day 3 Mljet & Korcula
Continuing on to Mljet Island, you’ll explore its national park. Discover the highlights, including two saltwater lakes ranging in shades from deep emerald to brilliant turquoise. In the larger lake, you’ll see an islet topped with a 12th-century Benedictine monastery. Our next destination is Korcula, best known as the birthplace of international explorer Marco Polo. In the Old Town, surrounded by walls, towers, and gates, meet our local guide for a tour, viewing highlights in the historic center like the House of Marco Polo, now a museum, St. Mark’s Cathedral, and more, with time to dine afterward in one of the many traditional local eateries.
- Excursions Included: Entrance fees to the Mljet National Park / Guided walking tour of Korcula
- Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch
Day 4 Vis
Vis and its irresistible charms are our next destination. As it’s rather isolated as the furthest inhabited island from mainland Croatia and was closed off to the public for 40 years while used as a naval base, it’s remained largely unspoiled by tourism. You’ll feel as if you’ve traveled back in time as you stroll the stone streets in town and along the waterfront, enjoying its well-preserved traditional architecture. Some of the most exclusive Croatian wines are produced on this island, including Vugava and Plavac, so you might want to enjoy a glass before returning to the ship for the night.
- Excursions Included: Wine tasting experience
- Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch
Day 5 Blue Cave & Hvar
Before we arrive at famous Hvar, known for its world-class restaurants and lively nightlife that attracts celebrities and all sorts of VIPs, we’ll stop so you can tour the Blue Cave. Provided conditions are right, after heading through the narrow entrance in a small boat, you’ll witness the interior illuminated in a brilliant blue when the sun’s rays enter through a crack and reflect off the limestone sea bottom. Once in Hvar, head to the small town of Jelsa, visiting one of the island’s most sought-after wineries for a tasting. The evening is yours, ideal for dining alfresco with a sunset view.
- Excursions Included: Entrance to the Blue Cave (entrance fee payable locally) / Wine tasting tour on the Island of Hvar
- Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch
Day 6 Zlatni Rat Beach & Trogir
Sailing toward Trogir this morning, we’ll stop along the way so you can swim from one of Europe’s most stunning beaches. Also, one of the most photographed, Zlatni Rat (AKA the Golden Horn), is surrounded by a dreamy pale blue sea on three sides. If you prefer, the nearby town of Bol is a great place for enjoying coffee and some people-watching. Once back on board, we’ll continue cruising to the UNESCO-listed Trogir, an open-air museum filled with impressive medieval towers, churches, palaces, and monasteries. Its Cathedral of St. Lawrence is considered one of the country’s finest examples of sacral architecture. Learn more about it on a guided walking tour.
- Excursions Included: Guided tour of Trogir
- Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch
Day 7 Split
Capping off your island-hopping cruise, we’ll explore the ancient city of Split with its fascinating history that dates back to the late 3rd century, when Roman Emperor Diocletian chose the site to build his retirement residence. Our local guide will take you on a walking tour through the historic center and this vast complex that covers nearly half of it, with many incredibly well-preserved buildings from Roman times. Afterward, enjoy dinner on your own in one of the many restaurants or cafes housed in those ancient structures, followed by an evening stroll on the waterfront promenade like the locals often do.
- Excursions Included: Guided walking tour of Split
- Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch
Day 8 Split Departure
Departure day has arrived. While it’s something that few of us look forward to, you’ll be able to take many memories of a lifetime, and probably countless photos, along with you. Enjoy breakfast aboard the ship and time for goodbyes to the captain, crew, and your fellow passengers, many of whom are likely new friends. With your bags packed and ready, you’ll meet your driver for a private transfer which can be taken to an onward local hotel if you’d like to spend more time here, or, head to the airport to catch your flight home or enjoy further travels.
- Excursions Included: N/A
- Meals Included: Breakfast
