Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 Cape Town Arrival

Cape town

Welcome to Cape Town. Upon your arrival you’ll take private transfer in a luxury vehicle to your upscale accommodation in the city. After checking in, enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, perhaps taking time to relax and refresh after your long flight. When you’re ready you might want to enjoy the V&A Waterfront. You’ll find lots to do, like shopping the Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre with over 450 South African and international stores, or dining at a wide range of restaurants from casual to fine dining. A ride on the Cape Wheel brings 360-degree views of the harbour and the city.

Day 2 Cape Town

Cape town

You’ve seen the mountain that soars over Cape Town, now you’ll get to ascend it by cable car. Enjoy 360-degree views of the city and the sea on the way up in a rotating car, and once at the top you can enjoy hiking the scenic trails, dining in the restaurants and taking advantage of the viewpoints where you can gaze out over Table Bay, the city center, Lion’s Head, Signal Hill, Devil’s Peak and Robben Island. This afternoon, you’ll catch a ferry to Robben Island to tour the former prison where Nelson Mandela was held for nearly 20 years.

Day 3 Cape Peninsula Tour

Cape of Good Hope

Your private/driver guide will bring you on a full day tour through the Cape Peninsula this morning, with lots of fun activities and photo-ops along the way. You’ll get to see the waddling penguins at Boulders Bay, take a stroll through the diverse local flora at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, ride a funicular to windswept Cape Point at the extreme southwestern tip of the African continent, and at the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, enjoy birdwatching and wildlife spotting, including antelope and baboons. You’ll pass through a number of picturesque villages and towns where you can buy a tasty lunch too.

Day 4 Cape Winelands Tour

Stellenbosch

Your private/driver guide will bring you to explore the three main towns in the Cape Winelands, wine tasting and enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. At Stellenbosch, you can admire the Cape Dutch architecture and canals, then sip wines paired with desserts and chocolates that are hand-selected to bring out the best flavors. Look forward to the views while driving over scenic Helschoogte on your way to the country’s culinary capital, Franschhoek, where you’ll enjoy a tasting at one of the wine estates before continuing to Paarl, which sits at the base of spectacular granite domes, for a final wine tasting.

Day 5 Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve

Leopard

This morning, private transfer will bring you back to Cape Town’s airport to catch your flight to Kruger National Park where your thrilling safari begins. Upon your arrival to Nelspruit Airport,, you’ll be met by our driver for private transfer to Sabi Sand Wildtuin, a private reserve in the park, watching for game along the way. Once you’ve checked in and settled into your accommodation, if time allows you can join a game drive for relaxing this evening with sunset cocktails around the boma, a gathering place where guests meet for candlelit dinners and drinks in an open air atmosphere.

Day 6 Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve

Kruger National Park

Rise early this morning for an exciting game drive. You’ll head out in an open vehicle with an expert guide and tracker who will help point out the animals and tell you about the creatures you’re seeing. Just some that you might encounter include wild dog and cheetah along with the Big Five: lion, rhino, elephant, African buffalo, and a good-sized population of leopard. After returning to your accommodation, enjoy breakfast and perhaps a nap before embarking on an afternoon game drive that will continue after dark bringing sightings of nocturnal species like rhino that may be seen using the vehicle’s spotlights.

Day 7 Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve

Kruger National Park

Another full safari day in Kruger National Park, as your experienced guides are extremely adept at knowing where the best places particular species tend to hang out, if there are animals you haven’t seen yet, they’ll provide you with the best possible chance. You’ll get to join both a morning and afternoon game drive, and in between, take a guided bush walk where you’ll see and learn about some of the smaller creatures that inhabit the bush like birds, reptiles and insects. Your guide will also point out plant life and fill you in on its important role in the local ecosystem.

Day 8 Livingstone, Zambia

Victoria Falls

It’s time to catch another flight, this time to Zambia. After checking out of your accommodation you’ll take private transfer to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. Upon your arrival to Livingstone’s airport you’ll be met by a private driver for transfer to your accommodation which sits alongside the Zambezi River. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure, but you might want to embark on a guided sunset cruise. While floating along the river you’re likely to spot all sorts of local wildlife like crocodiles, hippos and birds, as your guide tells you more about the creatures you’re seeing.

Day 9 Livingstone, Zambia

Victoria Falls

Visit Victoria Falls, the world’s largest based on its combined width of over 5,600 feet and height of 354 feet, with its indigenous name, Mosi-oa-Tunya translating to the “Smoke that Thunders.” Gaze out at the massive expanse, feeling the spray on your skin and listening to the powerful roar. The falls sit within Mosi O Tunya National Park, where game drives for watching animals like impala, zebra and giraffe can be enjoyed.

Day 10 Livingstone, Zambia

Elephant Chobe

There are lots of activities available in the Victoria Falls area. These include: walking scenic trails, whitewater rafting, canoeing, or fishing. We highly recommend a scenic micro light flight or helicopter flight to view the falls from above. You can also take a day trip over the border to Botswana to visit the famous Chobe National Park.

Day 11 Departure
