Tortilis Camp Overview
Amboseli National Park is famous for its elephant populations and the backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro. Tortilis Camp sits in the heart of Amboseli National Park and is a wonderful camp for so many reasons. Its 16 tents are a mixture of canvassed frameworks and makuti roofing (a type of thatching made from sun-dried Coconut leaves). The rooms are not fancy in design but that is the beauty of them – the rooms are comfortable, simple and without the thrills. For those focus is the location and safari activities, this is a great camp for you. Game drives, guided bush walks, bush breakfasts, sundowners and cultural visits are some of the activities included in the package at Tortilis Camp. On top of that, the camp has its own swimming pool located in the tropical gardens, with bar service and board games available. In-between the thrills of the safari, enjoy some down time and admire Mount Kilimanjaro on show.
