Thanda Tented Camp Overview
The reserve is home to the Big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino & Buffalo) as well as other species including cheetah, hyena and giraffes. Guides are fully qualified to offer game drives as well as walks in the reserve. The camp also allows guests to get involved with rhino and cheetah tracking where you locate and record the rhinos as part of ongoing conversation efforts. Thanda is in the heart of Zulu territory and you can visit the local villages and see a traditional Zulu Homestead. This Luxury Tented Camp comprises of 15 ensuite tents built on raised platforms with private decks. The camp is powered by solar energy and a generator so there is only Wi-Fi in public areas and at night pathways are lit by lanterns. The emphasis here is immersion in nature. The public areas have a large rim flow pool, spa and lounge/dining area.
