Ol Pejeta Overview
Sat in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in central Kenya is Ol Pejeta Bush Camp. Being in its own conservancy, and in the heart of the Laikipia valley, guests can enjoy an array of safari activities including day and night game drives, walking safaris and getting involved and visiting conservation projects. The accommodation is made of 7 safari tents, each with ensuite bathrooms and authentic bucket showers. The main area (also referred to as the “mess area”) is homely and intimate, with lounge and dining areas boasting views of the Ol Pejeta plains along from the Ewaso Ngiro River. On a game drive from Ol Pejeta Bush Camp, guests can expect to see a range of species including the Big Five. But the main draw to this location is that it is home to the last two northern white rhinos in the world. Of course they are guarded 24-hours a day but visiting them is possible and what an experience it is!
