Belmond Sanctuary Lodge Overview

Belmond Sanctuary is an upscale hotel with a prime position at the entrance to Machu Picchu, the closest to the ruins. While rooms are pricey, for many it’s worth it to be able to soak in the hot tub while sipping tea or pisco sours and watching the sun go down over the ruins after the tourists have departed for the day. All-inclusive rates include meals from the bar and restaurant where one can dine on innovative fusion fare that showcases locally grown produce while enjoying the lush view from floor-to-ceiling windows, exclusive to hotel guests. Another restaurant is open to the public and serves a popular buffet lunch as well as an excellent menu with international a la carte items. Rooms feature high-end amenities with standards including two twin beds or one king, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, DVD player, minibar, and marble bathroom, some include patios too.
