Belmond Palacio Nazarenas Overview
Just a short walk from Plaza de Armas, Belmond Palacio Nazarenas offers a magical setting in a 16th-century mansion, arranged around a number of tranquil, leafy courtyards. Rich in Peruvian historic character, it’s been beautifully restored while retaining wooden hinged front doors, Romanesque-style sculpture and much of the original Incan stonework. A highlight is the outdoor heated pool, one of just a few in this city, complete with poolside service that includes light bites, South American wines, and cocktails. There is also a spa on-site that’s said to be the world’s only fully oxygenated spa offering treatments using local ingredients like coca leaves and Andean salts. Some of the treatment rooms even have glass floors showcasing Inca ruins beneath the hotel. There’s also a fine dining Andean restaurant, while dancing and yoga classes are available twice weekly. Suites all come with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, iPads, and 24-hour butlers.
