You’ll be introduced to your driver/guide who will transfer you to your hotel. Relax and get acclimated to the new time zone or immerse yourself in this capital that blends east and west, and the old and new, by wandering down the nearby streets or taking in a view above it all from the 260-foot-high temple, Wat Arun.

Day 2 Bangkok: Temples and Palaces Tour

Bangkok, Thailand

Enjoy a full day tour after breakfast that begins by witnessing the monks’ early morning chanting ritual at Wat Po, one of Bangkok’s oldest temples, home to the famous reclining Buddha. From there head to Thailand’s most impressive royal palace, the Grand Palace, a complex with multiple palaces and sites like the Reception Palace, Royal Guest House and Throne Hall, as well as the country’s most revered Buddha image, the Emerald Buddha. After lunch, board a private longtail boat for a tour on a famous waterway. On the return to your hotel, stop at Wat Arun before enjoying the evening at your leisure.

Thailand is famous for its mouthwatering cuisine, and this tour delves into the heart of its flavors. Follow your guide, taking local transportation to the Bang Rak district to discover the country’s historic fare in what Bangkok residents considered to be the ultimate center of authentic and diverse flavors. Visit everything from exceptional restaurants showcasing gourmet dishes to home-style mom-and-pop eateries, sampling the down-home cooking that’s made Thai food one of the world’s favourites.
