      Your journey to explore the Netherlands begins with your arrival into Amsterdam’s Schiphol  Airport where you’ll be met with a warm welcome from our driver who will provide a private transfer to your elegant hotel located on Herengracht Canal in the history center of the city. After check-in, take time to refresh and get settled in, enjoying the rest of the day at your leisure. You might take this time to explore the locally area, lined with traditional 17th century mansions or just relax with some lunch in one of the pretty pavement restaurants overlooking the canal.

      Amsterdam: Private walking tour of historic center

      This morning you will meet your local guide at the hotel and quickly delve into the historic heart of Amsterdam, wandering through iconic landmarks like the bustling Dam Square and the venerable canals. Traverse the renowned Canal Belt, meandering along cobblestone streets flanked by charming canal houses, each with its own unique tilt. Explore the quaint alleyways of the 17th-century canal district, adorned with picturesque bridges and the stately homes of affluent merchants. Venture to Jordaan, a former working-class enclave, where the poignant history of Anne Frank’s hidden refuge unfolds.       The afternoon is free for you to explore at your leisure. We suggest a visit to the Rijksmuserum, one of the finest art galleries in Europe and home to countless Dutch masterpieces from the likes of Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Jan Steen.

      Giethoorn: Venice of the North

      Escape the city crowds and uncover the serene beauty of the Dutch Countryside with a private excursion to Giethoorn. Embark on a captivating journey through this iconic water village, gliding along its picturesque canals on a scenic boat cruise through the ‘Venice of the North’. Giethoorn charms visitors with its network of waterways and quaint absence of roads and cars. Delight in its fairytale ambiance with enchanting canals, rustic wooden bridges, and historic farmhouses crowned with thatched roofs. Accessible primarily by boat, Giethoorn offers a tranquil escape, with winter transforming it into an ice-skating wonderland. Nestled beside the Weerribben-Wieden National Park, this idyllic village showcases nature’s splendor. With your private guide you will explore the area on foot and by boat. After a stop for lunch, return to Amsterdam in mid afternoon.

      By now you’ll have got your bearing on the compact old town, so the afternoon is free to enjoy the city at your own pace.

      Keukenhof Gardens & Windmills of Zaanse Schans

      Escape the city crowds today on a private tour to the Tulip Garden of  Keukenhof, and the windmill lined canals as Zaanse. Embark on a journey through the picturesque flower fields of Keukenhof Gardens, boasting over 800 varieties of tulips and an array of colorful blooms. Wander amid millions of flowers in vibrant hues and catch sight of the day’s first windmill. Following a leisurely lunch (paid locally), venture to Zaanse Schans to explore its historic village and iconic windmills alongside your guide.       Next, venture to De Haar Castle, a majestic fortress with a rich royal history dating back to the Middle Ages. Restored in the late 19th century by the Rothschild family, the castle boasts opulent interiors, lush gardens, and enchanting surroundings. Learn about its connections to European nobility, including frequent visits by Queen Wilhelmina and other royal figures. Traverse the castle’s halls and gardens, where tales of romance and intrigue await at every turn.

      You will return to Amsterdam in the late afternoon, but still with time to explore this beautiful, buzzing city.

      After checking out of your hotel this morning, your adventure comes to an end. Your private driver will meet you there and provide a transfer to Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport where you’ll begin your journey home.
